These start from least influential to most. Also a few honourable mention.
Hounourable mention:
-Bill Cosby - he has really stepped out and pushed the black community to take pride in who they are and portray a worthy image.
-Obama- racing as the first major black presidential canidate.
-Condilissa Rice - has really give the blacks a good reputation and shown great leadership skills.
-Oprah- what a heart and great example for people to follow.
10. Jesse Jackson - although I do not agree 100% with the way the man handles things, I must admit that he has done a lot for the black cause.
9. Harriet Tubman - helped slaves escape to the North before the Civil War.
8. Jackie Robinson - broke the color barrier in baseball and set a precedent for all blacks to play sports
7. Rosa Parks -a lady who stood up for her rights as a black. (she was elderly and would not give up her seat to a white man. The idiot shouldn’t have been asking a lady, and an elderly one at that, to give up her seat anyway.)
6. Luis Armstrong - one of the first blacks to push for same rights and made a lot of head way in the African American world. Broke a lot of barriers.
5. George Washington Carver - one of the first renowned black men. Very smart and educated
4. Malcom X - a leader in the civil rights movement
3.Abraham Lincoln - No he’s not white but he’s the one who got the ball rolling with the emancipation proclamation
2. Martin Luther King Jr. - obvious
1. Civil War- without this you have not civil rights movement, not list of great African Americans, no anything.
